Mark McNamara is Managing Director and owner of Property Sphere Consultancy; a commercial valuation and property consultancy practice.

He has had 34 years experience valuing a wide range of property including residential, commercial and development projects having worked in Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland property.

Registered commercial valuations

These include industrial, retail and office properties for purchase, sale, revaluation or mortgage purposes.

Rent reviews

We are experts in determining market rentals for properties when they come up for review.  This is helpful for arbitrations to settle disputes between parties.

Insurance valuations

when you need an exact valuation for your insurer.

Discounted Cashflow modelling

You need this when you are assessing sensitivity to variables affecting a property for purposes such as a potential purchase.

Portfolio modelling for corporations

This allows companies to assess the impact of a building within their portfolio to minimise risk and maximise returns.

Sensitivity risk analysis

We use Monte Carlo simulation techniques to assess the probability of likely outcomes affecting property when variables alter. This analysis not only tests the sensitivity of variables, but generates probabilities which are useful for clients making decisions.

DYNA Cashflow modelling

This specialised industry Cashflow model is tailored for portfolio Cashflow consolidation and used for producing statements in annual reports.

About

Mark McNamara SPINZ, ANZIV is Managing Director and owner of Property Sphere Consultancy; a commercial valuation and property consultancy practice. He has 34 years of experience valuing a wide range of property including residential, commercial and development projects.

Mark has worked in Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland property markets of New Zealand.

He has been involved in asset valuations for both listed and unlisted property vehicles. He has a strong analytical background and keen interest in modern valuation techniques.

Qualifications: B.Comm (Valuation & Property Management); Master of Property Studies; Grad Cert. of Applied Finance. Mark’s master’s dissertation revolved around leasehold valuation and he has maintained a strong interest in the topic throughout his career.

Activities and Societies: Associate of New Zealand Institute of Valuers; Senior Member of the Property Institute of New Zealand.

Interests: Running, fishing, golf and marine navigation
